Surprised Leeds customers are transported back in time
Kirkstall-based Home Veg Box entered into VE Day spirit by dressing up to transport their home-grown goods in style across Leeds.
The Love family started their Home Veg Box business at the beginning of the lockdown, and it grew quickly as people across Leeds took advantage of its services.

Their forties-style costumes received a warm reception from customers, with positive reactions on the door along with others posted afterwards on their Facebook page.
Memories sparked by seeing the outfits worn by the delivery team included some customers remembering their own family members who served in the Land Army, while others were simply transported back in time for a moment or two.
Armley Helping Hands praised the effort. Member Dawn Newsome said: “Absolutely brilliant. Happy VE Day to our wonderful friends at Home Veg Box”.
