Brand new chapter for a storytelling wonderland
The Rainbow Factory says the extension into a former textile mill is the “beginning of a new chapter” for the venue.
The new area is called the Rainbow Rooms and was unveiled to parents at children at the centre’s Enchanted Christmas Market over the weekend. Now the directors hope the additional 2,500 sq ft of floor space. will allow them to host more school trips

“We’re very proud of everything the Rainbow Factory has achieved in such a short space of time – in particular making a difference to so many young lives.”
The centre opened in June 2015 and aims to bring children’s books to life through theatre, music and craft - staging events that “inspire, challenge and delight”.
It was set up with the social objective to inspire future generations with a love of reading and consequently help raise literacy levels.
