Leeds pub shuts after staff have direct contact with positive coronavirus case

The Cross Keys pub in Hillam announced that it was closing at 6.45pm on Wednesday, September 8.
This is due to staff needing to self-isolate after coming into contact with the person who tested positive for Covid-19.
None of the staff have been tested positive for the virus.

Hide AdCustomers who visited the pub will be contacted by the NHS track and trace service.
The pub aims to open on Monday, September 14.
In a statement, the owners said they were "absolutely gutted" to have to close.
They said: "Unfortunately an hour ago we had to shut the pub, certain staff members have had direct contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
"Any customers that have been in contact will also be contacted by NHS track and trace service.

"The staff who are having to isolate will not be back at work until their isolation period is completed and provided that they haven’t developed symptoms.
