York and all areas of North Yorkshire are in the 'high' Tier 2 level. West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and The Humber are in the 'very high' Tier 3 category. These are the current infection rates of every local authority area in Yorkshire, listed from highest to lowest rates. The latest figures, which are for the seven days to November 21, are based on tests carried out in laboratories (pillar one of the Government’s testing programme) and in the wider community (pillar two). The rate is expressed as the new number of new cases per 100,000 population. Pictures are for illustrative purposes only.
