Army explosives team called to Leeds street after man finds 'mortar bomb'

Officers arrived on Bayton Lane in Horsforth shortly after 1pm on Wednesday afternoon (March 3).
They had been contacted by a man who believed he had found a mortar bomb, police said.
A cordon was put in place by officers on the street.

Hide AdOfficers contacted the Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal team who attended to assess the item and found it was not a genuine device.
The cordon was then lifted by police.
