'It's not all about catching criminals': Six little ducklings trapped inside drain rescued by quick-thinking Leeds police officers

Officers on patrol in Allerton Bywater, Leeds, spotted a duck and its duckling next to a grate.
On closer inspection, they found that six ducklings had fallen through the grate and tumbled into the drain.

Hide AdOfficers were quick to quack the case, fishing them out of the drain and into a box.
With the seven ducks in a row, they were safely released into the nearby nature reserve.
The Leeds East Neighbourhood Policing Team posted a picture of the happy ducklings on Facebook.
They said: "Whilst out and about this morning local officers noticed a duck and it's duckling next to a grate in an estate in Allerton Bywater

Hide Ad"On closer inspection six out of the seven ducklings had fallen down the grate into the drains.
"After 10 mins of getting the grate open and fishing them out we managed to get them in a box and to the nature reserve
"I can't remember that being in the application form. It's not all about catching criminals."
