‘Haunted’ semi-detached Yorkshire house at centre of live Most Haunted Halloween TV special
Presenter Yvette Fielding will be joined by former X Factor star Rylan Clark and TV’s Paul O’Grady during the star-studded special at 30 East Drive on Pontefract’s Chequerfield estate.
The show will feature live investigations by the Most Haunted team as well as footage from a visit to the famed property, which was allegedly home to an infamous poltergeist haunting in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Hide AdFielding, who first started working on Most Haunted in 2002, claims that 30 East Drive is the “most terrifying location” she has ever investigated in her entire career on the show.
“I have never been so frightened in my life. There is poltergeist activity and it’s violent,” she said. “It has an amazing reputation of having the most violent poltergeist in Europe or the world and I can categorically confirm that is the case.”
She claims that during filming a crucifix was thrown at members of the crew, they saw a carving knife stand up right, two crew members were burned, one passed out and a demonic voice was recorded.
The live three-and-a-half hour show will be screened on freeview channel Really tonight from 9pm. It will see studio guests discuss the events as they unfold while the history of the Pontefract house is unravelled.

Hide AdThe unassuming red brick semi became the centre of Yorkshire horror stories after the Pritchard family claimed their daughter Diane was being tormented there. The haunting was depicted in horror film When the Lights Went Out in 2012.
Tales of the 12-year-old being dragged up the house’s stairs by her throat and then nearly being strangled by an electrical wire have cast a shadow over the estate for four decades.
Most Haunted has already conducted investigations of Leeds’ Thackray Medical Museum and Armley Mills this series, the latter will be televised on Really on November 8.
