I’ve found a five-leaf clover! Wait - there’s another one!
Gemma Scorfield found the two rare plants which are traditionally supposed to bring good fortune and brought a scratch-card - and won a tenner.
Baker Gemma said she wasn’t even on the hunt lucky clovers when she spotted her first bit of green gold last Friday.

“I couldn’t believe it. I have been looking for a four-leaf clover for about four years and never found one and then I find this.”
Then, less than five hours later, about a mile away Gemma, of York, found another of the rare plants growing in a patch of mud behind a shop.
“I just can’t believe it, I am drying them both out and I’m going to seal them in double sided plastic and carry them in my purse from now on.
“I am just waiting to see if they will bring me good luck.”

The five-leaf clover is a mutation, like its four leafed cousin, that does appear occasionally, and is meant to bring the finder good luck and financial gain.
According to the ‘Clovers Online’ website, a five-leaf clover means extra good luck and financial gain.
Rupert Adams, a spokesman for bookmaker William Hill, said: “If the lady in question had come to us the day before and said she was going on a five leaf clover hunt, we would have told her the chances of finding two in one day would have been in excess of 100,000 to one.”
