Rodley Nature Reserve issues update ahead of lockdown easing from Monday

Rodley Nature Reserve is designed to bring wetland wildlife back into the Leeds area.

Hide AdCreated on a floodplain in Kirkstall Valley, the reserve is a recognised 'flyway' for wildfowl and waders on migration.
A spokesman for the reserve has now issued an update on their social media page.
The reserve plans to open its Manager's Garden and Willow Path Hides on April 14.

Hide AdThese are in addition to the previously opened facilities, the statement said.
Pond dipping activities will remain closed, it was announced.
The statement said: "The safety of our visitors and volunteers remains paramount and the Trust will keep the situation under continuous review and should the situation change it may be necessary to consider further appropriate measures."

Hide AdThe spokesman said visitors must continue to keep to social distancing and wear face coverings where this may be difficult.
The statement concluded: "We ask our visitors to be considerate and allow each other the time and space to enjoy the Reserve."
