Homebase's branch in Moor Allerton, North Leeds, are taking part in a nationwide plan to donate more than 1,000 spruces to schools, charities and community groups to kick start the festive season.
The generous donation is part of the company's 'communi-tree' initiative, which helps people "come together".

The Nordman Fir Christmas trees are now available to buy at the Moor Allerton store, and Homebase are calling for local schools, charities and community projects to contact them to be considered for a free tree.
It's thought around five schools or organisations in Leeds will be chosen as part of the scheme.
David added: "We're delighted to be supporting local communities across the country, including in Leeds by donating over a thousand trees to schools, charities and community groups to enable them to take part in this tree-mendously magical time of year with their own, real Christmas tree.
