Two Leeds sex shops have applied to renew their trading licenses
The premises licences of both Pulse & Cocktails in Armley and Simplypleasure.com on Briggate are up for renewal.
Sex establishments are legally required to hold a valid licence from their local council, and it must be renewed annually.

Conditions include:-
- The owner (licensee) and all staff must be aged over 18
- Customers aged under 18 cannot visit the shop
- You cannot re-apply for a licence if one has been refused within the past 12 months
- Hours of opening, displays, advertisements, and the visible interior of the shop can all be regulated
Lap dancing clubs also require a licence to operate - Purple Door and Liberte in Leeds both recently applied for new licences.In November 2017, a member of staff at Pulse & Cocktails was punched unconscious during an armed robbery at the Armley Road adult store.
