Vibrant banners designed by Leeds pupils set to brighten up community
Pupils from Hovingham, Harehills and Bankside primary schools in Harehills worked with East Street Arts to encourage community cohesion through design.
The banners, which have gone up in Harehills Lane, have been unveiled by residents, pupils and councillors outside the Compton Centre.

Hide AdCoun Lisa Mulherin, executive member for children and families, said: “Getting children and young people to take an interest their community at a young age will help them to become more engaged citizens when they grow up.”
A further launch is planned to introduce more banners and the results of a Leeds City Council and East Street Arts project later this year.
