Boxing: Surprise package Young pulls no punches on way to Ultimate Boxxer final
The 24-year-old took part in the competition in Manchester which is backed by Ricky Hatton, Paulie Malignaggi and Anthony Crolla.
Young won his quarter-final by beating Ben Eland which was streamed on Unilad, and won his semi-final by knocking out favourite and former World Youth silver medallist Isacc Mcloud live on 5spike. Unfortunalty, he lost in the final to Drew Brown on a points decision (which can be viewed on 5 demand on Sky).

Hide AdUltimate Boxxer sees eight unbeaten welterweights take on each other which invovles four quater-finals, two semi-finals and a final, all of which are 3xthree-minute rounds.
Before Ultimate Boxxer, Young , who only started boxing when he was 17, had four professional fights, one of which being the Josh Warrington and Nicola Adams undercard at the Leeds Arena in May. In this fight he beat Northern Ireland boxer Alec Bazza on points.
Young told the Yorkshire Evening Post:“I feel like I did well considering I was classed as the rank outsider. I will only learn and be a better fighter down to this and it was a great learning experience for me.”
Young thanked his sponsorship deal from Clipper Logistics and his trainers Mick Marsden and Shaun Priestley for all their support.
