Leeds United moved three points clear at the top of the division and established an eight-point cushion in the automatic promotion spots with Saturday's 3-0 win at home to Fulham who have now dropped to fifth behind Nottingham Forest with Brentford now third.
So what are the latest odds with SkyBet for the sides in the division's top half plus 13th-placed Sheffield Wednesday to be playing Premier League football next season and how do we see the promotion race unfolding? Lee Sobot takes a look.
1. Sheffield Wednesday - 250-1 for promotion
Not even in the top-half with Garry Monk's Owls 13th but still only eight points off the play-offs. Not impossible but a huge long-shot and unlikely - as the price suggests. Photo by Dan Mullan/Getty Images.
2. Bristol City - 100-1
Back-to-back defeats since the restart have left Lee Johnson's Robins 12th and five points off the play-offs and in quick need of a change of fortunes to even make the play-offs. Photo by Harry Trump/Getty Images.
3. Blackburn Rovers - 40-1
United's next away opponents lost 2-0 at Wigan Athletic at the weekend with Rovers now ninth and four points off the play-offs. Others appear more likely to make the top six. Photo by Clive Brunskill/Getty Images.
4. Swansea City - 33-1
Another side who Leeds still have to visit and Saturday's 1-0 reverse at home to Luton Town has left Steve Cooper's Swans tenth and four points off the play-offs and needing a change of momentum. Photo by Harry Trump/Getty Images
5. Preston North End - 33-1
Another side needing a quick change in fortunes after Saturday's 3-1 loss at home to Cardiff City which left the Lilywhites seventh but only three points off the play-offs so a definite chance of top six still. Photo by Lewis Storey/Getty Images.
6. Millwall - 33-1
Held to a goalless draw at Barnsley at the weekend and the Lions sit 11th and five points off the play-offs but the Londoners do have a decent enough looking run-in. Nevertheless, a very tall order. Photo by Marc Atkins/Getty Images.
