Premier League reveals coronavirus testing results as Leeds United enter international break

A total of 2,772 players and club staff were tested for Covid-19 across two rounds of testing between Monday, March 15 and Sunday, March 21, of which there were two new positive tests.
Players or club staff who have tested positive will now self-isolate for a period of ten days.

Hide AdNo specific details as to clubs or individuals will be provided by the Premier League and results will be made public on a weekly basis.
The first round of testing took place between Monday, March 15 and Thursday, March 18. A total of 1,576 players and club staff were tested for coronavirus between of which there was one positive test.
A total of 1,196 players and club staff were then tested for Covid-19 between Friday, March 19 and Sunday, March 22, of which once again there was one positive test.
The Premier League, in consultation with its clubs, has enhanced its Covid-19 protocols, in addition to reimplementing a twice-weekly testing programme.

Hide AdThe protocols, which strengthen key elements of the current guidance, came into immediate effect on January 7.
Testing is only part of the protections in place.
The Premier League say that strict adherence to the protocols by all players and staff is key to keeping numbers low and outbreaks managed.
