Leeds United's woes continued with a 2-1 loss at derby day hosts Sheffield United. Here is how the defeat unfolded with reaction and analysis too.

Reaction from Leeds United head coach Paul Heckingbottom:

"We’re disappointed with the result, especially with the way we came back in the second half.

“It is something we need to look at.

"Sheffield United are a team who, in my opinion, are the best in the league at building momentum with their style of play, keeping possession and playing forwards.

"They got the ball in the box and they got a goal from it. I know when I watch that goal back there’ll be things I don’t want to see. They’re the things over time that we need to improve."

Reflecting on the second half, Heckingbottom added: "“It was pretty simple to see what the difference was. "Sheffield United were playing forwards all the time, putting us under pressure.

"In our own half we were playing backwards, inviting pressure.

"That made Pierre isolated when we did go forward.

"We had to change that and we had to play forwards more often.

"We did that and we gained the territory."

"We can’t rely on a bit of magic from Pablo to win games.

Stick here for full reaction to come. Much better in the second half but, yet again, too little too late.

84': CHANCE LEEDS. Plenty of Whites pressure, Hernandez cuts into the box and curls a powerful shot just over. Very close. United's best player by a mile. Appeals for a Leeds penalty for handball by Stevens then waved away.

79': HUGE CHANCE FOR BLADES. Clarke is played in at close range but lashes a wild shot over. That should have been goodnight. Leeds have now gone 4-4-2 with Ekuban alongside Lasogga. O'Kane and Forshaw centre mid.

77': FINAL LEEDS SUB. Phillips off for Ekuban. Blades sub too - Duffy off for Leonard.

75': LEEDS SUB. Alioski off for Sacko.

73': GOAL BLADES. Sharp hammers home the penalty. No chance for Wiedwald. Smashed it down the bottom left.
