Most gigs and shows at the First Direct Arena were rescheduled until 2021. Here are 10 artists you can hopefully look forward to seeing this year:
1. Stormzy
Award winning artist Stormzy is due to perform on Thursday, April 8. The 27-year-old released his second album Heavy Is the Head in December 2019.
2. Sam Fender
North Sheilds singer Sam Fender is due to perform at the First Direct Arena on April 30. At the time of rescheduling, he said: "With the current state that the UK is in, we're pushing all shows back until next year. It sucks but it's unavoidable. Keep hold of your tickets though because it's gonna be insane!" Photo: Polydor
3. Little Mix
Little Mix are due to perform at the First Direct Arena on May 11. A lot has changed for the band since they rescheduled their tour with member Jesy Nelson leaving the group.
4. McFly
Boyband McFly are due to perform on May 15. After spending some time apart working on their own projects – and joining forces with Busted to form the pop phenomenon that was McBusted – the McFly boys announced they would return to the live arena.
5. JLS
JLS are due to perform their Beat Again tour on June 18. The group split up in 2013 but announced a comeback in 2020.
6. Snoop Dog
Legendary rapper Snoop Dog is due to perform a the First Direct Arena on September 8. Snoop has sold over 23 million albums in the United States and 35 million albums worldwide.
