Hide AdBurnby Hall Gardens are home to one of the biggest arrays of Hardy Water Lilies growing anywhere in Europe in a natural setting, and can be seen in all their splendour throughout the summer months, reaching their peak in June and August.
One of the original features of the garden still remains in the form of the Rock Garden. Visitors of all ages will love this feature as they explore its tiny bridges and narrow pathways.
In 1904 Major Percy Marlborough Stewart and his wife Katharine bought the estate and then devoted their lives to creating gardens of outstanding beauty. The on-site Stewart Museum, tells their story and about how they also managed to fit in 8 World Tours between 1906 and 1926.
