There's no better time to explore the great outdoors on your doorstep than now whilst it's not too hot but the skies are blue and the sun is out - and of course while there's some snow dotted around too. Here, we've rounded up some of the prettiest spots for a walk in Leeds. Remember due to coronavirus restrictions you can only socialise outdoors as a group of six or a mixture of two households.
1. Eccup Reservoir
Eccup Reservoir offers beautiful views across the water. You can walk around the edge of the reservoir, soaking up the splendid scenery as you do so. The route passes through woodlands and the quaint village of Eccup, over a dam and alongside a local golf course.
2. Chevin Forest Park
Overlooking the market town of Otley, this large park has an impressive network of paths to explore, with magnificent panoramic views of the Wharfe Valley - perfect for a stroll. Photo: Jonathan Gawthorpe
3. Temple Newsam
Boasting 1,500 acres of land, including open grassland, woodland, a walled garden and lakeside paths, Temple Newsam provides a vast outdoor landscape to enjoy. Photo: Gary Longbottom
4. Rothwell Country Park
Providing a peaceful spot away from the centre of Leeds, this 2.8 mile circular loop is a popular haunt among walkers and runners, and is well suited for families with little ones as it is relatively short and flat. Photo: Mick Kale
5. Bramhope Circular Walk
The Bramhope Circular Walk is a gentle walk that begins at Bramhope, near the Fox and Hounds pub. It is approximately five miles. Photo: Roger Ratcliffe
6. Trans Penine Trail
You can join this long-distance route from Knowsthorpe Quay, just 10 minutes from Leeds Dock. The Garforth to Woodlesford section is a particularly scenic part of the trail, offering countryside views.
